Flickr is bad

Some friends ask me about pictures, whether I take them, put them on the web and so on. My answer to this is that it contains so many loopholes and problems that not worth trying. Example:

1. When using more than 200 pictures and you don't have "Pro" account (requires money) you can't upload more pictures, or does not show. Abhorrent!

2. Only 20M pictures can be uploaded per month.

This is also example of why Web 2.0 is no good idea. Like many other new things that promise everything or "silver bullets" as we call them here, it doesn't work out. When technology is more mature, promise more, otherwise keep quiet and don't release.

1. What is wrong with requiring money? Companies do not exist to give you such services for free. Maybe you should get a job and pay for things like normal people.

2. Do you know the difference between "20M" and "20 MB"?

1. Yes companies exist to earn money but then they should say so directly! Not first promise free service and then not give.

2. I'm very angry with rude and arrogant question like this. Do you try to look knowledgeable? Then go somewhere else.

Paig is so right in this case. very informative too about flickr pro. I never knew that. And 20M is being used and understood everywhere. None should insult a respectable and serious man like Paig.

I am a big fan of yours. Paig.
